Long term aim: To find the wreck of HMS Neptune       (Achieved in February 2016)

In February 2016 HMS Enterprise obtained a sonar image which matches HMS Neptune and this has been proved to be 3/4 of her wreck. The other quarter (weakened by the mines) broke off when the stern hit the sea bed very hard.  In 2018 HMS Echo returned to the site and obtained further sonar images plus a distant one of the broken stern lying 400 meters away to the west.
